The works collected in this volume, dedicated to Professor Tadeusz Zdancewicz, are the aftermath of the 10th Polish-Bulgarian Slavistic Colloquium which took place (was held) on 25th and 26th May 2004at Obrzycko near Poznań. The first part of the volume is devoted to the scientific and didactic activity of Professor Zdancewicz and Poznań Slavic (Slavistic) studies, The papers included in Part Two deal with several fields of research: the Southern Slavic Bible Studies and its relations with folk culture, Polish, Bulgarian and Russian confrontative linguistics, intra-Slavic linguistic contacts, the language of the Suwałki District and of the Polish-Lithuanian border, problems of culturakl identity of the Southern Slavic poeoples (countries) Slavdom, of Bulgaria and its image in Polish literature, post modernism in Slavic literatures, and other problems.
