In the literature the problem of the eastern frontier including Polish-Belarusian relations has been usually pushed into the background of the European experience. The memory of multi-ethnic colourful part of Europe has faded covered by the changes that the Second World War and communism produced and was considered a minor issue. Nowadays we can also see a new political order emerging in East-Central Europe ... Processes that are apparent in this part of Europe are multi-dimensional and cannot be easily judged politically. The author tries to answer the question of how mutual Polish-Belarusian relations in the twentieth century influence contemporary political choices of both nations as well as how they perceive a contemporary political reality. from the Introduction
