Opis książki:

The basic assumption or grounding metaphor of an orientation called the "dialogical self” is that self-identity is a process, which reminds us of a dialog between different identities, social roles, and psychic states of a given person. As in a dialog of many voices, these different parts of a person’s mind express, negotiate and fix-up standpoints, evaluations and decisions. The book presents in a clear and comprehensive way the recent knowledge and research methods developed within this orientation. Also, the book describes problems which should be solved and possible future routes of elaborating the initial metaphor. The articles are inter-disciplinary, not only because the authors work in different sub-disciplines of psychology, but because the conclusions and proposals of this book should be interesting for readers coming from a broad array of sciences (sociology, literature, anthropology, and philosophy) as well as from different fields of practice.
