Opis albumu:

- First recording of the 12 Trio Sonatas Op. 1 by Gentili!
- Giorgio Gentili was a famous violinist, teacher (Vivaldi was one of his
pupils!) and composer in 18-th century Venice, he played the violin in the
San Marco and his compositions were published all over Europe, dedicated
to Kings and Emperors.

- His first opus was a set of Trio Sonatas in Corellian style: 4 movements
(slow-fast-slow-fast), including a fugue, and the first movement in quasi
concerto style, with florid figurations of the first violin of high virtuoso
brilliance.

- Played on original instruments by the Italian Soavi Affetti Baroque
Ensemble. The first violinist Patrizio Focardi was a member of well known
Baroque groups like Modo Antiquo, Il Complesso Barocco and the
European Community Baroque Ensemble
- Excellent scholarly liner notes and biographies are included in the booklet.
