Her unexpected self-titled hit album Suzanne Vega from 1985, with well-loved song Marlene On The Wall topped the charts and won her the admiration of critics and public alike.

Close Up Volume 1: Love Songs is the first in a series of records on which Vega reinterprets her favourite songs. In this first installment we are treated to her best songs on love. Songs that were inviting have now become intimate because of their small acoustic arrangements, and Vega is subtle as ever, letting the songs speak for themselves.

On vinyl for the first time, this 2010 release is pressed on 180 grams audiophile vinyl in a beautiful gatefold sleeve.
