Opis książki:

Dramatic descriptions of healings, experienced with the invocation of St Sister Faustina, make a perfect introduction to this book about the life of the Apostle of Mercy. Faustina spent most of her life in Cracow’s Łagiewniki. Today it is the site of the world famous Sanctuary of Divine Mercy, and of the Merciful Christ image, painted in accordance to St Faustina`s vision.
A splendid piece of literature, this thorough biography of St Sister Faustina, written by Jolanta Sąsiadek, is the first error free work about the Cracow Mystic. The photographer Adam Bujak followed in her footsteps, documenting not only her home town of Świnice Warckie, but also Vilnius, Płock, Warsaw, Łódź, and of course the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy in Cracow Łagiewniki. The book also contains archival images.
The Sanctuary of Divine Mercy in Cracow Łagiewniki is the site of the cult of St Faustina. It is also the site of a modern basilica. On the 13th of April 2002, amidst the scaffolding and construction equipment, cardinal Stefan Macharski celebrated the first Holy Mass at the new – still unfinished - church. The corner stone – from Golgotha – was laid down three days later. The book is dedicated to the Holy Father John Paul II – a present for his 82nd birthday.
