Opis książki:

I share an aversion to post-neopositivist, analytical and allied resentiments, although I also share a deep disgust with the level of argumentation proposed by the ideological defenders of moral principles, exorcizing the devils of "relativism" and "postmodernism." I also realise how inefficient classical discourses of philosophical ethics, with all their metaphysical burdens, are when attempts are made to translate them into the language of legislative practice and to apply them in shaping procedures of complex institutions, like those of public health care infrastructures. Nevertheless, such a yisible and supposedly well-deserved preponderance of those who support the "practical point of view" in bioethics need not attribute undeniable authority to the pragmatist doctrine.
